Therapy

Searching for a therapist you feel comfortable speaking with can feel overwhelming. Just taking the first step to reach out for support can often feel like one of the biggest barriers to starting therapy. I commend you for taking that first step towards bettering yourself and creating the quality of life you truly want. I know the results can be transformative when you find the right mental health counselor for yourself.

With regards to my sessions, I create a supportive and collaborative environment to help you safely work through your challenges and achieve your personalized goals. I also believe humor, creativity, and authentic rapport are key elements to a successful and lasting therapeutic relationship.

I work with diverse populations ranging from college students to active adults. I specialize in, but am not limited to, working with anxiety, life transitions, ADHD, relationships, and self-esteem. Additionally, with a background in visual arts, I embrace the creative process and understand the importance of self-expression.

Sessions

My sessions are warm & person-centered while still guided by evidence-based therapeutic interventions. My approach draws on the principles of Narrative Therapy to help you recognize self defeating patterns, Motivational Interviewing to empower you to achieve obtainable goals that align with your core values, and Mindfulness Interventions to guide you towards openness, acceptance, and being in the present moment.

Individual sessions are 50 minutes. I have evening and weekend availability via telehealth.

Payments

With private pay we can collaboratively navigate the direction and frequency of our sessions without submitting sensitive personal info to a third party insurance company.

Sessions are private pay at the rate of $115 for a 50 minute individual session. I accept Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) in addition to debit/credit cards.

I currently use IvyPay Services, a convenient app that provides secure, HIPPA-compliant, encrypted billing right on your phone. IvyPay can store your preferred payment option for future use so that payments are hassle-free and won’t take time away from our sessions. Payments are due the day of the session, typically right after the session is completed.

Insurance & Reimbursement

I do not take insurance, however, your health insurance may offer reimbursement for therapy sessions with an out-of-network provider. Please check with your insurance company to see if this option is available to you. If this is a viable option for you then I can provide a monthly receipt (aka superbill) for you to provide to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note, clients will be responsible for submitting their receipts to insurers for reimbursement. I also accept Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) in addition to debit/credit cards.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your non-emergency healthcare services, including medical and mental health care, is expected to cost. Under the new law, health care providers need to provide patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment. For questions, or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
