Evan Rubenstein, LCSW, MS
I am an experienced Social Worker who’s practiced clinical therapy in acute, medical, community, and outpatient settings. I have served as a Crisis Therapist at a Mobile Crisis unit, providing mental health triage to high acuity patients in our community, while also serving as a Clinical Evaluator at the hospital’s Behavioral Health Access & Crisis Center (BHACC). I’ve also served as a Social Worker at the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) specializing in the stabilization of high acuity patients within the Boarder Program. Prior to working at the hospital, I co-facilitated anxiety groups at an outpatient mental health clinic where I also served as a Primary Therapist for individual therapy.
Background
I was born & raised in Western NY but share a dual citizenship with Canada. I love all things outdoors including hiking, camping, photographing, and traveling. I am a part of a family of animal lovers. My family pets include a black Labrador and a Beagle and, more recently, a couple of retired racing Greyhounds and a Whippet. I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, cooking large meals for friends & family, and attending comedy shows, music concerts, and art exhibits.
